Giving back to our Cedar Falls community is important to all of us at All Smiles Family Dentistry. Our team actively engages in mission trips and participates in charity work to help our community and beyond protect, prioritize, and optimize their smiles!

2024 School Visits with Dr. Stevenson

Dr. Stevenson is committing her time to visiting schools across Cedar Falls to educate children about the importance of oral health and how they can maintain strong smiles.
With captivating presentations and hands-on exhibits, she will be teaching students why they need to be brushing twice and flossing once daily, how to do so effectively, and the importance of regular dental checkups. She will also have animated discussions with students to debunk common oral health misunderstandings. These discussions will help young students further understand how important their smiles are and hopefully motivate them to be proactive about maintaining excellent oral health – for life! Dr. Stevenson developed these visits to serve our local community and help kids have a bright, cavity-free future.

Mission Work IMOM 2023

Iowa Mission of Mercy (IMOM) celebrated 14 years of providing free oral health services to Waterloo community members who face barriers to receiving routine dental services. Dr. Stevenson assumed the role of IMOM’s local co-chair because of her compassion and commitment to providing essential dentistry to those in need.
The free clinic was held over two days and provided various services, such as cleanings, extractions, fillings, partials, and even advanced procedures like root canals. Almost one million dollars worth of free dentistry was provided to 1081 patients by an amazingly dedicated group of volunteer dentists, hygienists, assistants, and general volunteers! Dr. Stevenson and our staff were thrilled to share their time and talents to positively impact the oral and overall health of those in need.

Halloween Candy Buy Back

Since 2009, Dr. Stevenson and our All Smiles Family Dentistry team have hosted our annual Halloween Candy Buy Back event to bring brightness to the post-All Hallow’s Eve season. This program not only helps decrease sugar intake among kids, but it also enables them to earn $1/pound of candy they donate – and to be entered to win a number of exciting raffle prizes! It also allows our team to donate collected candy to various organizations, with this year’s collection going to Soldier’s Angels.

Guatemala Mission Trip

In October 2023, Dr. Stevenson teamed up with 19 dentists to provide dental services to patients in Guatemala. Delivering over $550,000 worth of free dental services in just four days, this skilled and experienced team provided compassionate and necessary care to 435 amazing patients, who, Dr. Stevenson says, were truly the highlight of the trip!
